Description

  • Designed for relief from Seborrheic Dermatitis. This dematologist recommended, patent-pending, all-in-one serum clears away skin irritants while soothing troubled skin. Provides relief for the scalp, face, and body. Reduce flakes, Calm Redness, Soothe Itching. Pairs well with our Seborrheic Dermatitis Shampoo.
  • Dermazen is three products in one. Learn how it works in 3 steps: 1. Disrupt the Biofilm – certain irritants create a biofilm shield that protects it from targeted treatment. 2. Clear the Bad Bugs – Once the biofilm is removed, you can clear away the bad stuff easier than ever. 3. Soothe the Skin – Now it’s time to nourish and hydrate your skin without using lipids (like coconut oil) that feed the irritated skin.
  • We practice ingredient minimalism while following Mother Nature’s wisdom. Ingredients: 200x Concentrated Aloe, Xylitol, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Tea Tree Essential Oil, Dead Sea Salt, Rosemary Essential Oil, Hyaluronic Acid, Colloidal Silver, Niacinamide, MSM, Urea, Purified Water. That’s it. No fragrances, parabens, or hard-to-pronounce ingredients.
  • There’s a reason your manuka honey gel, ointment, and specialized shampoo isn’t working – they aren’t disrupting the biofilm (so they can’t reach the skin aggrivator) and they use oils that feed the problem. Put an end to your seborrheic nightmare and gain peaceful skin and peace of mind with Dermazen.
  • Are you tired of buying lotion and cream marketed for dandruff, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, and seborrheic dermatitis only to find out that it not only doesn’t work, but it made your condition worse? We were too, which is why we created Dermazen to calm the itch, eliminate dry flaky skin, and promote moisturizing for even the most sensitive skin.

I got this product in the middle of a seb derm/tinea versicolor flare up. I was using selsun blue and ketoconazole 2% to fight the fungus but I felt my scalp getting too dry so I looked for a moisturizer. I came across this product and thought it could be a good moisturizer to use daily. It does do its job in terms of hiding the symptoms and acting as a moisturizer. I could apply this before going to work and I would look normal as opposed to wearing a white cap on my head and being embarassed about it.

3 stars only because 1) its expensive. I got MCT oil for $10 for 16 oz that I know use as a moisturizer. Using this product only if I have a massive flare up 2) Its doesn’t cure seb derm on its own as advertised. It might for some people as seen on this review board but doesn’t do it for everyone.

9/20/2024 update – My diagnosis came out to be psoriasis and not dermatitis. Very different condition hence my previous review is invalid for this product.

That being said, if you have psoriasis, this product defn helps with reducing the appearence of white flakes and scaly skin but does not treat the condition and the product obviously isnt meant to do that. Please get an appropriate diagnosis from a dermatologist before using this product.

I have only used it once but have been dealing with my scalp problems for a while and can tell it helped. I applied it overnight and had significant decrease in itchiness and in scalp build up. I was pleasantly surprised and am excited to continue using.

In 2020 I was out hiking in northern California and managed to get poison oak all over my face. I was prescribed a steroid that absolutely destroyed the apparently delicate balance of yeast and bacteria that lives on all our faces, and since then, I’ve been battling “fungal acne” (actually called malassezia folliculitis, as it’s more of a yeast overgrowth than acne). Unfortunately, once malassezia gets bad enough it creates a defense barrier called a “biofilm”on top of itself, making it difficult for anti-fungal treatments to reach. I found out about this digging deep into the archives of Simple Skin Care Science, a website I *highly* recommend for anyone struggling with skin issues, or looking to have nicer skin in general. The author and owner of the website suggests checking any products you buy for fungus-feeding ingredients on the website “Sezia”, where you can enter the ingredients list, and it will tell you if any ingredients are likely to worsen the yeast infection. On the Sezia website, I found a page called “BEST SKINCARE FOR MALASSEZIA” and on that page, Dermazen was recommended as a product to help fight the biofilm. Well, I can confirm – Dermazen most definitely destroyed the biofilm on my face. It did not eradicate the malassezia, but by dissolving the biofilm, it made it possible for some of the antifungals to finally penetrate and reduce some of the yeast overgrowth. It also HYDRATES incredibly well – if I want my skin to look plump and beautiful, I can put a few drops of this on before bed and my skin looks incredible in the morning. I can’t express how grateful I am for that, as my fungal infection is still very much active (the longer you have a fungal infection, your body develops resistance to antifungals, which is the stage I’m at) and as a result, I can’t risk wearing makeup which would feed the yeast further. But truly, my skin has never looked better, unless you look really, really close – and then you can see the fungal infection which up close, looks like my face is covered in tiny blackheads/clogged pores. This product gave me hope, and although I’m still struggling to battle the yeast, the hydration it provides has allowed me to start using Differin, an extremely drying product that my rosacea normally can’t tolerate. Every ingredient in this formula is excellent – I’ve used most of them separately (ie. niacinamide, HLA) or in other formulas, and I can say the team here has done something really special. I’m bummed that it’s been going up in price because I need this for medical reasons, and haven’t found anything as good. My only bit of feedback is I’d prefer a dropper – the way the top is, you have to dump the bottle upside down over your face, which is a bit awkward and it’s hard to keep it from rolling off your face, as one hand is holding the bottle. I put mine in a smaller bottle with a dropper, which makes it easier to control how much comes out. Finally, I have to add – the packaging (aside from the top) is a 10/10 for me. It’s the nicest label I’ve seen on a skincare product. Minimalist, spa-like and makes my bathroom look more peaceful. The print of the label is high-quality and even has sparkles in it.

Has definitely helped. I dont see as much flaking and I’m less itchy.

I hesitated on purchasing this product for monthsss, due to the high price. After spending $45 one night getting dinner at a restaurant, it hit me that would be the cost to potentially fix my scalp for good – which is totally worth it, and I finally gave in! It’s been over a week using Dermazen, and I am very impressed with this product. I’ve struggled with itchy scalp, buildup, and dandruff my entire life. The serum itself was not what I was expecting, but in the best possible way! Not sticky and thick. No strong smell. It is easy to apply throughout my scalp due to the watery consistency, which is not easy for my thick 4C hair. I applied it the night before my wash day – then again after my hair was washed and dried. It’s been 8 days and my scalp is still clean! No itch! Thank you for making such an amazing product. You have gained a customer for life.

Just received this product. I immediately opened the bottle. The smell is a bit strong and the consistency is very watery, not thick at all.

I suffer from flakey, itchy, sore scalp so I took a chance and ordered this product, regardless of the price. I have thick 4c hair and the product did leave my scalp feeling a little wet. Smell did not stay on my hair so no worries there.

I’ll follow up in a few weeks to further review the results.

I have been battling scalp issues for over a decade! I have used oils, injections, Shea butter, aloe Vera you name it. Nothing worked to curb the vicious itching, flaking and discomfort of my scalp. The side effects on anxiety and shame were abundant. I tried this product as a last resort. 2 weeks later and my scalp feels healthy and clean, with normal hair growth finally returning! If you have a sensitive scalp and are suffering from any of the above symptoms, this is the product for you. Great moneys worth for sure!

This along with the facial cleanser & scalp moisturizer, has done wonders for my scalp & my face. Besides dermatologist prescribed serums that cost hundreds of dollars, this is the ONLY product I’ve ever tried that actually worked.
